What is the Yango app for Shopify?
The Yango App is a free custom Shopify app that connects your store to the Yango ecosystem.
Once installed, it does 3 things automatically:
- Syncs your product catalog to Yango Shop: a shopping aggregator platform inside the Yango app.
- Adds “Yango Pay Later" as a payment option on your storefront, giving your customers the ability to split purchases into parts.
- Allows customers to make purchases in your store directly from Yango Shop and syncs their orders to your Shopify orders admin.
Available features
1. Product Catalog Sync
Your entire Shopify catalog (products, variants, prices, discounts, stock status) is automatically synchronized to Yango Shop in real time.
- Sync starts automatically when you install the app.
- Real-time updates: any change you make in your Shopify admin (price update, new product, stock change, deletion) is reflected in Yango Shop within minutes via Shopify webhooks.
- What gets synced: product title, description, images, variants (size, color, etc.), price, currency, and availability status.
2. Yango Pay Later Widgets on Your Storefront
The App makes Yango Pay Later widgets available for your storefront. They are activated once they are added as additional blocks inside your Shopify theme.
- Snippet widget: appears below the price on each product snippet and reflects the amount of payments.
- Product page widget: appears below the price on each product page for products that are available for purchase with Yango Pay Later.
- Cart widget: appears in the shopping cart. Shows the Yango Pay Later payments breakdown for the cart total and leads to the checkout page.
3. Yango Checkout with Yango Pay Later and Order Sync
When a customer clicks the Yango widget at the shopping cart, they are taken to the Yango Checkout: a secure checkout flow managed by Yango. This is separate from the standard Shopify checkout.
Orders placed through Yango Checkout appear directly in your Shopify Admin, Orders, tagged with the Yango source. Your customer also receives a standard Shopify order confirmation email.
Yango Checkout is also available directly from the Yango Shop. Buyers browsing Yango Shop can complete a purchase from your store without leaving the app. The order is processed through Yango Checkout and automatically synced to your Shopify orders admin, exactly like any other order.
